Buttons and Dancing

Two videos that pretty well capture a typical weekday night. Detail oriented viewers will notice how one of us distracts Miss D while the other frantically cleans up the mess that was just left behind.

Afternoon in North Durham

Sunday afternoon was spent with the grandparents in North Durham. D spent her time chasing Bear and splashing in the water fountain. We spent our time chasing D.

Meat Juice

This weekend Kimbo and I had some leftover steak that we heated up in a foil packet. We turned what was once just leftover steak into delicious steak tacos. Near the end of our meal, D-rock was getting restless so we let her out of her chair to run around while we finished eating. Somewhere in the chaos of me getting up to put up a few dishes and Kimbo yelling at the cat to get off the table (again!), D reaches up to grab the leftover foil packet, pulls it down and pours all the leftover meat juice all over her.

Doing the Laundry

D has discovered that she can crawl in the laundry basket. She's also discovered that she can sit in the laundry basket, hide under the laundry basket, play peek-a-boo through the holes in the laundry basket, and rock in the laundry basket.

On the plus side its a lot of fun playing with her and spinning her around.

Downside is that we can no longer keep laundry in the laundry basket. Last time we did it all got pulled out and replaced with a 15 month old toddler.

Only our little Dizzle could make laundry this much fun.

International Super Model

Last week SugarBear worked hard to secure an exclusive modeling gig with Merge Records. When I say worked hard I mean her Aunt Christina called and wanted her to come over and get her picture taken with a Merge T-shirt on. Still, we're preparing to have to shoo agents away now that D is on the internets. Check out her at the link below.

Saturday Morning Fun

Saturday morning was filled with excitement. We had blueberry pancakes and then we pushed a chair around the kitchen. We're living in wild times.

If there's a question as to why there are bags of microwave popcorn on the floor... its because D pulled them out of the cabinet. Its a wonder our house is ever presentable.

Stay-cation Part III - The Aquarium

The last part of our stay-cation the other week was a trip to the beach with SugarBear's grandparents. Saturday morning was pretty rainy so we all made a trip out to the aquarium at Fort Fisher. You wouldn't know it from the pictures, but we spent most of our time just chasing little D all around the place.
